Advisory Centre for Metabolic Disorders provides testing, proposes treatment or performs regular examination of patients with predominant or exclusive metabolic disorders, where the disorder can be cured by therapeutic nutrition or in combination with medication.

Our Advisory Centre for Metabolic Disorders is engaged in the following group of diseases:

  • Obesity
  • Nutritional disorders in the widest sense of the word (threatening malnutrition, coeliac disease)
  • Pathological conditions curable by nutrition, such as mental anorexia not much developed, i.e. when no intensive psychiatric treatment is needed
  • Dyslipidemia, where the treatment is based on the combination of medication and therapeutic nutrition. The goal includes correction of the metabolic condition, not the treatment of vascular complications
  • It is possible to include here also the metabolic syndrome (i.e. hyperglycaemia, hypercholesterolaemia a hyperuricaemia), often combined with overweight or obesity
  • Chronic liver diseases, where adequate medication treatment is required according to the situation, belong also among diseases controlled here, however, appropriate nutrition therapy is very important
  • Dysleptic syndrome of the lower type with dysmicrobia is also successfully cured by dietotherapy or, where necessary, in combination with medication treatment. Consequently, integration of this group of diseases in the Advisory Centre for Metabolic Disorders is justified
